1. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE SOCIETY SHALL BE HELD NOT LATER THAN THE 31ST MAY EACH YEAR. MEMBERS WILL BE ADVISED OF THE VENUE AND TIME OF COMMENCEMENT IN THE ANNUAL NEWSLETTER.

MEMBERS SHALL BE GIVEN AT LEAST SEVEN DAYS NOTICE IN WRITING OF THE MEETING.


ANY MOTION FOR THE MEETING MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE SECRETARY NOT LATER THE 31ST MARCH. SUCH MOTION SHALL CONTAIN PRECISE PARTICULARS.


MINUTES OF THE MEETING WILL BE RECORDED FOR FUTURE REFERENCE 


2. MONTHLY COMMITTEE MEETINGS

COMMITTEE MEETINGS SHALL BE HELD ON THE LAST THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH EXCEPT DECEMBER. THESE WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE INDOOR BOWLS CLUB IN COLCHESTER COMMENCING 7.30PM.

ANY MEMBER IS WELCOME TO ATTEND BUT SHALL HAVE NO VOTING POWER. MEMBERS MUST INFORM THE SECRETARY NOT LESS THAN ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE MEETING OF THEIR ATTENDANCE.

MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS HELD WILL BE RECORDED AND READ OUT AT THE START OF EACH SCHEDULED MEETING FOR ACCEPTANCE AND AS A TRUE RECORD.


APOLOGIES FOR NON-ATTENDANCE MUST BE MADE TO A COMMITTEE MEMBER TOGETHER WITH A REASON SO IT CAN BE RECORDED WITHIN THE MINUTES TAKEN


3. OFFICERS AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS

THE OFFICERS OF THE SOCIETY SHALL BE:

PRESIDENT, CHAIRMAN, VICE CHAIRMAN, SECRETARY, TREASURER AND ESTATES OFFICER.

THE COMMITTEE SHALL ALSO CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING ELECTED MEMBERS:

FRESHWATER MATCH SECRETARY, SALTWATER MATCH SECRETARY, ASSISTANT SECRETARY, ASSISTANT TREASURER, ASSISTANT FRESHWATER MATCH SECRETARY, ASSISTANT SALWATER MATCH SECRETARY, MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY, TROPHY SECRETARY, WEBSITE SECRETARY, AND ASSISTANT WEBSITE SECRETARY.

NO COMMITTEE MEMBER CAN SERVE AS AN OFFICER OR COMMITTEE MEMBER OF ANOTHER ANGLING CLUB OR SOCIETY


OFFICERS AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS WILL CONDUCT THE AFFAIRS OF THE SOCIETY IN THE BEST INTEREST OF ALL MEMBERS. IT WILL ENSURE THE SOCIETY IS ADEQUATELY INSURED AND ABIDES BY ALL ENVIRONMENTAL AGENCY REQUIREMENTS AT ALL TIMES.

IN THE EVENT OF THE SOCIETY BEING DISSOLVED ITS PROPERTIES AND MONIES WILL BE DIVIDED EQUALLY AMONGST MEMBERS THEN EXISTING


4. NEW MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

ANY PERSON CAN APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP OF THE SOCIETY BY COMPLETING A NEW MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORM. THIS FORM CAN BE FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE FOR DOWNLOAD AND COMPLETION BY SELECTING JOIN CPS 

THE CURRENT PRICE FOR MEMBERSHIP IS ALSO DETAILED ON OUR WEBSITE.

THE MINIMUM AGE OF JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP IS 5 AND NO JUNIOR MEMBER UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE SHALL FISH UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY A SENIOR MEMBER, WHO SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CONDUCT AND SAFETY.

JUNIOR MEMBERS BECOME SENIOR MEMBERS AT THE AGE OF 16 OR 18 IF IN FURTHER EDUCATION


5. MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION RENEWALS

MEMBER RENEWALS FOR THE FOLLOWING SEASON SHOULD BE MADE BY THE 31ST MAY

THE SOCIETY WILL POST RENEWAL REMINDER NOTICES WITHIN THE NEWS FEED ON OUR WEBSITE. ANY CHANGES TO MEMBERSHIP FEES WILL BE DETAILED HERE 

COMPLETED RENEWAL APPLICATION FORMS SHOULD BE SENT TO THE MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY TOGETHER WITH A STAMPED SELF-ADDRESSED ENVELOPE OF AT LEAST 9” X 6” SIZE, YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD AND A CHEQUE FOR THE RENEWAL FEE. THE ADDRESS FOR POSTAL RENEWALS WILL BE SHOWN ON THE APPLICATION FORM.

PAYMENT MAY BE PAID VIA BANK TRANSFER, IF PREFERRED. PLEASE USE YOUR MEMBERSHIP NUMBER AS THE REFERENCE ON YOUR BANK TRANSFER AND SURNAME, THIS ALLOWS THE TREASURER TO IDENTIFY YOUR PAYMENT.  

OUR CURRENT BANK ACCOUNT IS WITH HSBC, A/C NUMBER 11157450, SORT CODE 40 18 51

ANY MEMBER NOT PAYING THEIR SUBSCRIPTION BY THE 1ST JUNE EACH YEAR, WILL BE LIABLE TO AN ADDITIONAL £5 PENALTY PROVIDING THAT THEIR RENEWAL IS PAID BY THE 10TH JUNE.

MEMBERSHIP WILL CEASE AFTER THE 10TH JUNE FOLLOWING A 7 DAY OVERDUE NOTICE.

 

6. ROD LICENCES AND SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP CARDS

PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE IN POSSESSION OF A VALID ROD LICENCE AND YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD WHEN FISHING ON ANY WATER.

BOTH MUST BE SHOWN TO A BAILIFF WHEN REQUESTED WITHOUT ANY CONFRONTATION.

FAILURE TO PRESENT BOTH MAY REQUIRE YOU TO STOP FISHING AND EXITING THE WATER IMMEDIATELY.

MEMBERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THEIR GUESTS HAVE A VALID ROD LICENCE AND IT IS IN THEIR POSSESSION WHILST FISHING

MEMBERS SHALL KEEP THEIR MEMBERSHIP CARD SAFE AND PRIVATE AS THEY CONTAIN THE GATE ACCESS CODE 


7. BAILIFFS

SOCIETY & ENVIRONMENTAL AGENCY BAILIFFS MONITOR ALL WATERS.

ANY MEMBER WISHING TO BECOME A BAILIFF CAN APPLY BY CONTACTING OUR ESTATES OFFICER

BAILIFF CARDS WILL BE SENT OUT ONCE APPROVED.


8. WORKING PARTIES

THE ESTATES OFFICER ORGANISES REGULAR WORKING PARTIES AT EACH WATER IN ORDER TO HELP MAINTAIN THE GROUNDS AND TO PROVIDE ALL MEMBERS WITH A PLEASANT AND ENJOYABLE FISHING ENVIRONMENT AND EXPERIENCE.

DATES ARE ADVERTISED ON THE SOCIETIES WEBSITE AND ITS ENCOURAGED THAT ALL MEMBERS ATTEND SOME WORKING PARTIES TO HELP KEEP ITS WATERS THIS WAY.


9. GUEST DAY TICKETS

MEMBERS ARE ABLE TO APPLY FOR A MAXIMUM OF 2 GUEST DAY TICKETS PER DAYS FISHING.

NO NIGHT FISHING PERMITTED WITH DAY TICKETS.

FISHING IS PERMITTED FROM 6AM OR SUNRISE, WHICH EVER IS THE LATEST, UNTIL 8PM OR SUNSET WHICH EVER IS THE SOONER.

GUEST TICKETS CAN BE OBTAINED BY CONTACTING THOSE HOLDERS DETAILED ON OUR WEBSITE

THE PERMIT MUST BE  IN YOUR POSSESSION, WHILST FISHING.

BAILIFFS WILL REQUEST TO SEE IT


10. COMPETITION RULES

SOCIETY COMPETITIONS ARE OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS. PLEASE REFER TO THE MATCH FIXTURE LISTS ON THE WEBSITE FOR DETAILS ON HOW TO BOOK, WHO TO BOOK WITH AND TIME BOOKING MUST BE MADE BY.

CHARGES APPLY FOR BOAT CHARTERS AND MEMBERS WILL STILL BE CHARGED IF THEY BOOK IN BUT FAIL TO TURN UP. NO REFUNDS WILL APPLY.

BOAT CHARTERS REMAIN AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE BOATS SKIPPER FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL.

MEMBERS ARE ADVISED TO BE AT THE COMPETITION VENUE 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE DRAW TIME.

ALL TIMES ARE DETAILED ON THE FIXTURES LIST ON OUR WEBSITE

ALL COMPETITIONS SHALL START AND CEASE FISHING AS INSTRUCTED ON THE DAY BY THE MATCH SECRETARY.

ANYONE ARRIVING LATE FOR VALID REASONS MAY STILL BE ABLE TO ENTER AT THE DISCRETION OF THE MATCH SECRETARY.

NOT MORE THAN ONE ROD OR POLE MAY BE FISHED AT ANY ONE TIME WHEN TAKING PART IN A FRESHWATER COMPETITION OTHER THAN A PIKE MATCH, WHERE TWO RODS CAN BE USED.

NO MORE THAN 2 RODS AND 4 HOOKS IN A SALTWATER BEACH COMPETITION AND ONE ROD AND 3 HOOKS IN A BOAT COMPETITION.

SHOULD A FISH BE HOOKED PRIOR TO THE CALL TO CEASE COMPETITION BUT LANDED AFTER, THIS FISH WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE WEIGH IN PROVIDING THE LANDING WAS NOT MORE THAN 15 MINUTES AFTER THE CALL TO CEASE TIME.

MEMBERS WHO PARTICIPATE IN COMPETITIONS ARE AWARDED 2 POINTS FOR EACH ONE ATTENDED (EXCEPT, COMMITTEE, SWEEPSTAKES AND TEAM COMPETITIONS)

THESE POINT ARE ADDED TOGETHER AND PUT FORWARD TO COUNT TOWARDS THE JOHNSON TROPHY

THERE MUST BE AT LEAST 3 COMPETING IN ANY COMPETITION ELSE THE COMPETITION MAY OR WILL BE CANCELLED.

MEMBERS MUST LAND THEIR OWN FISH TO COUNT.

MEMBERS MUST NOT: FISH OR OVERLAP ANOTHER COMPETITORS TACKLE, FEED THEIR SWIM PRIOR TO START TIME OR MOVE TO ANOTHER PEG, EXCEPT FOR A JUSTIFYABLE REASON, AND THEN ONLY WHEN AUTHORISED BY THE MATCH SECRETARY.

NO USE OF BLOOD WORM OR JOKER BAITS IN A COMPETITION.

PIKE CAUGHT DO NOT COUNT IN COMPETITIONS OTHER THAN IN A DESIGNATED PIKE ONE.

EELS ARE INCLUDED.

PLUMBING THE DEPTH OF YOUR SWIM IS ALLOWED PRIOR TO START.

SPECIMEN FISH CAUGHT DURING A MATCH ARE TO BE RECORDED AS PER SECTION 13 DETAILED IN THESE GUIDELINES.

NATIONAL FEDERATION OF SEA ANGLER’S SIZE LIMITS APPLY


11. TROPHY AWARDS

THE SOCIETY AWARDS TROPHIES FOR SPECIMEN FISH CAUGHT FROM ITS WATERS EACH SEASON AND FOR WINNING ORGANISED MATCH EVENTS.

PLEASE REFER TO THE SOCIETY WEBSITE FOR TROPHIES AWARDED EACH SEASON

MEMBERS AWARDED SUCH TROPHIES MUST RETURN THEM BACK TO THE SECRETARY BY THE 31ST MARCH.

PLEASE CLEAN TROPHY BEFORE RETURN AND ENSURE THEY ARE RETURNED IN THE SAME CONDITION.

ANY DAMAGES WHILST IN YOUR POSSESSION ARE TO BE REPORTED TO THE SECRETARY AS SOON AS THE DAMAGE HAS OCCURRED TO SEEK REMEDIAL ACTION/INSTRUCTION.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE IT TO THE 31ST MARCH DEADLINE DATE


12. SOCIETY WATERS

PLEASE REFER TO OUR WATERS SECTION ON OUR WEBSITE FOR MORE DETAILS OF FISH STOCKED IN EACH WATER

MEMBERS ARE REMINDED TO ONLY FISH FROM DESIGNATED SWIMS/PEGS AND TO CHECK ALL POSTED NOTICES ERECTED ON ENTRY TO WATERS FOR ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS OR WARNINGS PRIOR TO FISHING. SOME WATERS HAVE LIMITED LOOSE FEED PERMITTED

WHERE THERE IS A PLANNED DAY COMPETITION ON A WATER, MEMBERS SHALL CEASE FISHING AT MIDNIGHT ON THE DAY PRIOR TO THE MATCH.

FOR A PLANNED NIGHT COMPETITION, FISHING SHALL CEASE AT MIDDAY ON THE DAY OF THE NIGHT MATCH

 

13. RECORDING OF SPECIMEN FISH

THE SOCIETY WEBSITE HAS A DESIGNATED FORM WHICH CAN BE DOWNLOADED AND PRINTED. 

A PICTURE OF THE FISH IS ENCOURAGED FOR PUBLISHING ON THE WEBSITES GALLERY.

ATTESTED SCALES TO WEIGH FISH ARE REQUIRED, PLEASE RECORD THE LENGTH OF THE FISH AND DETAILS OF ANY WITNESSES

THE HAYWARD CUP IS AWARDED TO MEMBERS SUBMITTING SPECIMEN FISH CAUGHT ON NON-CLUB WATERS.

 

14. BANNED BAITS, RIGS AND TACKLE

THE FOLLOWING BAITS ARE BANNED FROM USE IN ALL SOCIETY WATERS:

TIGER NUTS, PEANUTS, ANY OTHER NUTS, TROUT PELLETS AND HALIBUT PELLETS.

PLEASE REFER TO NOTICE BOARDS ON ENTRY TO ALL STILL WATERS AS THEY WILL CONTAIN MAXIMUM LOOSE FEED AMOUNTS TO BE USED IN A 24HR FISHING SESSION.

NO LIVE OR DEAD BAIT TO BE USED FROM ANY OTHER WATER OTHER THAN THE ONE YOU ARE FISHING FROM. THE TRANSFER OF LIVE BAIT FROM ANY WATER IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

THE FOLLOWING RIGS ARE BANNED FROM USE IN ALL SOCIETY WATERS:

FIXED LEAD RIGS OVER 1oz

LEAD CORE IN EXCESS OF 1 METRE

SIZE 10 HOOKS OR BIGGER MUST BE MICRO-BARBED EXCEPT TREBLES FOR PIKE FISHING

MEMBERS FISHING FOR SPECIMEN FISH MUST BE POSSESSION OF A FISH CARE KIT, ALTHOUGH IT IS ENCOURAGED FOR ALL MEMBERS TO POSSESS A KIT TO TREAT ANY FISH CAUGHT NEEDING ATTENTION

THIS IS TO ENSURE SUCH FISH HAVE THEIR CAPTURE WOUNDS TREATED TO PREVENT DISEASE OR PARASITE INFECTIONS.

MEMBERS MUST ALSO HAVE A LANDING NET OF 42” WHEN CARP FISHING


15. UNHOOKING MATS

ALL MEMBERS MUST BE IN POSSESSION OF AN UNHOOKING MAT WHEN SPECIFICALLY FISHING FOR LARGE FISH. THIS IS TO PROTECT THE WELFARE OF ALL OUR FISH STOCK. IT IS ENCOURAGED ALSO THAT ALL MEMBERS CARRY ONE IN CASE THEY CATCH A LARGE FISH UNEXPECTANTLY

MEMBERS DISCRETION TO BE USED, IF, WHEN LANDING A FISH, THEY FEEL IT DOESN'T REQUIRE THE USE OF A LANDING NET OR AN UNHOOKING MAT AND THAT NO HARM WILL COME TO THE FISH


16. KEEP NETS AND LANDING NETS

ALL MEMBERS MUST BE POSSESSION OF A LANDING NET AT ALL TIMES.

ALL KEEP NETS AND LANDING NETS MUST COMPLY WITH THE ENVIRONMENT BYELAWS AND THE USE OF CARP SACKS IS NOT ALLOWED.

UNLESS IN A SOCIETY MATCH, STANDARD KEEP NETS ARE NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY FISH CAUGHT 5LB OR OVER. YOU MUST ONLY USE SPECIFIC LARGE CARP KEEPNETS FOR FISH OVER 5LB. 

WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU ONLY CARRY A MAXIMUM WEIGHT OF 50LB IN ANY ONE KEEP NET.


KEEP NETS ARE NOT TO BE USED DURING THE CLOSED SEASON FROM MIDNIGHT 14TH MARCH TO MIDNIGHT 15TH JUNE ON ANY WATERS

A 42" LANDING NET MUST BE USED WHEN FISHING FOR CARP

PLEASE ENSURE YOU THOROUGHLY DRY BOTH KEEP AND LANDING NETS BEFORE USE IN ANOTHER WATER TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF DISEASE FROM ONE WATER TO ANOTHER


17. LITTER & FOULING

THE SURROUNDING GROUNDS AND PATHWAYS SHOULD BE TREATED WITH CARE AT ALL TIMES, MEMBERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING ALL LITTER AND DISCARDED LINES ARE TAKEN HOME.

EVEN IF ITS NOT YOURS, ITS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO LEAVE IT THERE. TAKE IT HOME AND REPORT IT TO A COMMITTEE MEMBER.

THE SOCIETY RISKS THE LOSS OF ITS WATERS OVER LITTER AND DISCARDED LINES. ANY MEMBER CAUGHT OR FOUND NOT ADHERING TO THESE REQUIREMENTS WILL BE EXPELLED FROM THE CLUB.

MEMBERS ANSWERING THE CALL OF NATURE ON SOCIETY WATERS ARE POLITELY REMINDED TO TAKE IT HOME AND DISPOSE OF IT.


18. MOBILE PHONES

MOBILE PHONES ARE PERMITTED SO LONG AS THEY ARE USED TO A MINIMUM. DO NOT DISTURB OTHER ANGLERS WITH LOUD CONVERSATIONS, RINGTONES AND MUSIC.

THE USE OF EARPHONES ARE ENCOURAGED.

SHOULD ANOTHER ANGLER APPROACH YOU REGARDING PHONE DISTURBANCE PLEASE RESPECT THEIR OPINION AND REFRAME FROM USE IMMEDIATELY, ONLY USE IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY


19. ELECTRONIC DEVICES

ELECTRONIC DEVICES FOR COMMENTARY, MUSIC AND GAMING ARE PERMITTED PROVIDING THEY ARE EQUIPPED WITH EARPHONES. THEY MUST NOT BE USED WITHOUT THESE AT ANY TIME.


20. DOGS

NO DOGS ARE PERMITTED ON SOCIETY WATER GROUNDS WITHOUT THE EXPRESS PERMISSION OF THE COMMITTEE.

ALL DOGS PERMITTTED SHALL BE:

KEPT ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES

MUST NOT ENTER INTO THE WATER

MUST NOT INTERFERE OR CAUSE A NUISANCE TO OTHER ANGLERS, SUCH AS CONSTANT BARKING OR HOWLING.

PLEASE TAKE HOME ALL DOG MESS WITH YOU FOR DISPOSAL


21. BAIT BOATS

IN GENERAL BAIT BOATS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON SOCIETY WATERS.

HOWEVER, DISCRETION WILL BE GRANTED WHEREBY IF A MEMBER IS THE ONLY MEMBER FISHING ON A WATER, THEN A BAIT BOAT CAN BE USED.

THE PRESENCE OF ANOTER MEMBER ANGLING SHALL THEN CEASE UNLESS THAT MEMBER IS HAPPY FOR YOU TO CONTINUE


22. CAR PARKING

PLEASE USE ONLY DESIGNATED CAR PARKING AREAS ON SOCIETY WATERS.

ENSURE GATES ARE SHUT AND LOCKED AT ALL TIMES.

YOUR VEHICLE MUST CLEARLY DISPLAY THE SOCIETIES CAR PARK SCREEN STICKER


23. FISHING RODS/POLES

ONLY 2 FISHING RODS ARE TO BE USED ON SOCIETY WATERS AT ANY ONE TIME AND MUST NEVER BE LEFT UNATTENDED WHILST IN THE WATER.

ADDITIONAL RODS OR POLES SECTIONS MAY BE SET UP READY FOR USE


24. CLOSED SEASON WATERS

THE FOLLOWING WATERS ARE CLOSED FOR FISHING FROM MIDNIGHT ON THE 14TH MARCH UNTIL MIDNIGHT 15TH JUNE

PONDHOUSE

RIVER STOUR

THE REMAINING WATERS REMAIN OPEN BUT NO KEEP NETS PERMITTED

 

25. NIGHT FISHING WATERS

WITH EXCEPTION TO PONDHOUSE, ALL OTHER WATERS ARE AVAILABLE FOR NIGHT FISHING.

NO EQUIPMENT OR SET UPS ARE TO REMAIN DURING THE PERIOD OF NON- RETURN.

THIS IS TO ENSURE ALL MEMBERS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY AND CHOICE TO FISH ALL WATERS SWIMS/PEGS EACH WEEK

WITH COMMITTEE CONSENT, EXTRA DAYS MAY BE GRANTED MONTHLY IN ADVANCE.

MEMBERS MUST APPLY BY SUBMITTING THEIR REQUEST TO A COMMITTEE MEMBER WITHIN 48HRS NOTICE OF THE NEXT SCHEDULED MONTHLY COMMITTEE MEETING SO IT CAN BE PUT FORWARD.

SUCH REQUESTS WILL BE TABLED AND A VOTE MADE IF PERMISSION SHOULD BE GRANTED.

26. BBQ’S & FIRES

NO BBQ’s, FIRES OR FIRE PITS WHATSOEVER ARE PERMITTED ON ANY WATER.


27. GATE LOCKS

GATE COMBINATIONS SHOULD NOT BE SHARED WITH NON-MEMBERS. SUCH CONFIDENTIALITY PROVIDES SECURITY AND SAFETY TO SOCIETY WATERS. THE GATE LOCKS SHOULD NOT BE LEFT WITH THE COMBINATION VISABLE. MEMBERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO GIVE THE NUMBER TO FRIENDS TO VISIT WHILST FISHING. IF YOU NEED SOMETHING BROUGHT DOWN YOU MEET THEM AT THE GATE


28. WEILS DISEASE

WEILS DISEASE OR LEPTOSPIROSIS, IS A VIRUS THAT EXISTS IN WATER AND MAY ENTER THE BODY THROUGH CUTS, SCRATCHES AND ABRASIONS. MEMBERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS VIRUS MAY BE PRESENT IN SOCIETY WATERS AND CAUSE SERIOUS INFECTION.

INFECTION MAY, IN THE EARLY STAGES RESEMBLE INFLUENZA. IF YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE BEEN INFECTED BY THIS VIRUS PLEASE SEEK APPROPRIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION. ENSURE YOU REPORT IT TO THE ENVIRONMENT AGENCY AND THE COMMITTEE.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES FROM THIS DISEASE.

ENSURE ALL CUTS, SCRATCHES AND ABRASIONS ARE THOROUGHLY CLEANSED PRIOR TO APPLYING THE PLASTER.

CLEAN ALL CLOTHING, FOOTWEAR AND EQUIPMENT AFTER USE.

WASH HANDS THOROUGHLY WITH ANTISEPTIC HANDS WIPES AND CLEAN WATER BEFORE EATING OR DRINKING ON SOCIETY WATERS.


29. OVERHEAD POWER CABLES

SOCIETY WATERS HAVE OVERHEAD POWER CABLES SO ALWAYS CHECK FOR SUCH CABLES BEFORE YOU DECIDE WHERE TO FISH.

DO NOT TAKE UNNECESSARY RISKS.

FISHING BY OR UNDER POWER CABLES IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND YOU RISK SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IF YOU ARE ELECTRICUTED.

POLES ARE EXTREMELY HIGH-RISK OWING TO THEIR LENGTH.


30. WADING

FISHING WHILST WADING IN SOCIETY STILL WATERS IS NOT PERMITTED DUE TO SINKING SAND, SUDDEN DEEP WATER OR DEEP SILT.

MEMBERS ENDANGER THEMSELVES IN DOING SO.

THE SOCIETY ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY ACCIDENTS ARISING FROM SUCH ACTIVITY.

WADING AT WORKING PARTIES IN A GROUP SETTING MUST BE AUTHORISED BY A COMMITTEE MEMBER INSTRUCTION

SUCH WADING REQUIREMENTS ARE CLOSELY SUPERVISED WITH DUE CARE AND ATTENTION TAKEN FOR MEMBERS SAFETY AT ALL TIMES

WADING IN THE RIVER STOUR IS AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE MEMBER AND AGAIN THE SOCIETY ACCEPTS NO RESPONSILITY FOR SUCH ACTIVITY IN THE EVENT OF ACCIDENTS ARISING


31. EMERGENCY CONTACTS

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY ON ANY WATER PLEASE RING 999 OR 112 AND GIVE YOUR LOCATION DETAILS.

PLEASE REPORT ANY OBSERVED POLLUTION TO A SOCIETY OFFICIAL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND SEVERE POLLUTION INVOLVING FISH KILLS CONTACT THE ENVIRONMENT AGENCY ON

32. COMPLAINTS

MEMBERS WHO HAVE ANY MATTERS TO REPORT REGARDING ISSUES OR COMPLAINTS SHALL RAISE THEM IN THE FIRST INSTANCE TO A COMMITTEE MEMBER.

THE MATTER WILL BE TABLED AT THE NEXT COMMITTEE MEETING OR SOONER IF URGENT

INVESTIGATION WILL TAKE PLACE WHERE REQUIRED AND THE MEMBER WILL BE INFORMED ON THE OUTCOME OF THE MATTER. THE COMMITTEE WILL HAVE THE MAJORITY VOTE ON THE RESOLUTION OF ANY SUCH MATTER. SHOULD IT NOT BE RESOLVED TO THE MEMBERS SATISFACTION, MEMBERS HAVE A FURTHER RIGHT OF APPEAL TO THE CHAIRMAN.

THIS SHOULD BE MADE IN WRITING WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF THE ORIGINAL DECISION.

  

33. CRAYFISH

ONLY LICENCED CRAYFISH TRAPS ARE TO BE USED. THESE ARE ISSUED AND MONITORED BY THE ENVIRONMENTAL AGENCY. ANYONE CAUGHT USING TRAPS UNLICENCED OR UNATHORISED WILL BE PROSECUTED BY THE ENVRONMENTAL AGENCY


34. GENERAL CONDUCT

ALL MEMBERS SHALL CONDUCT THEMSELVES WITH RESPECT TO ALL OTHER ANGLERS AND BAILIFFS.

PLEASE KEEP NOISE TO A MINIMUM TO PRESERVE THE PEACE AND TRANQUILITY ASSOCIATED WITH FISHING ON OUR WATERS FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY

NO SWIMMING IN STILL WATERS OR THE RIVER STOUR.


35. COMMUNICATIONS

IN KEEPING WITH ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY STANDARDS AND REQUIREMENTS, WE ARE AIMING TO BE AS PAPERLESS AS POSSIBLE WHERE WE CAN GOING FORWARD. THIS WILL ALSO HELP US TO KEEP OUR OVERHEAD COSTS DOWN.

FURTHERMORE, WE CAN ACCOUNT FOR THESE SAVINGS WHEN REVIEWING ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE INCREASES, BENEFITING ALL MEMBERS

WE THEREFORE ENCOURAGE ALL MEMBERS TO HOLD AN EMAIL ADDRESS SO THAT WE CAN SEND ALL FORMS TO YOU THIS WAY. MEMBERS CAN  PRINT THEM OFF AND SEND THEM BACK TO US BY POST OR SCAN AND SEND AS AN ATTACHMENT BY EMAIL

MEMBERS THAT ARE UNABLE TO DO SO MAY USE A RELATIVE, FRIEND OR ANOTHER MEMBER TO DO THIS ON THEIR BEHALF. 

HOWEVER, PLEASE LET A COMMITTEE MEMBER IF YOU CAN'T AND WE WILL MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS FOR YOU.
